Visibility Film Fest: Disability Awareness & Empowerment

Join us for an evening of disability awareness and empowerment with screenings of various films produced through collaboration with three programs at James Madison University: I’m Determined (IMD), the Health Education Design Group (HEDG), and the Disability-inclusive Sexual Health Network (DSHN).
About
The I’m Determined Project has been working on a set of films called Elemental. Elemental focuses on the lives of three high schoolers who are experiencing disability in different ways. As they strive to understand their identities and navigate relational barriers and communication misunderstandings, they learn to advocate for their needs in and out of the classroom.
The showcase and panel discussions at Court Square Theater will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29. Doors open at 5:30. The event is free and open to the public. You do not need to get tickets to attend. For more information on all the films click here.
