This session shares how Warren County Public Schools has moved self-determination from an idea into daily classroom practice. The Warren County team will introduce the I’m Determined Resource Package, a collection of ready-to-use tools, ideas, and supports developed to help educators teach and reinforce the elements of self-determination. The session will also highlight Warren County’s ongoing teacher cohort, where educators take part in monthly professional learning focused on implementing I’m Determined in their own classrooms. The Warren County team  will walk through the resources, show how they are being used in real classrooms, and share how this approach has supported implementation across schools.

This collaborative professional learning series launches educators into a virtual community focused on building connections and a shared desire to help Virginia’s students become self-determined learners. 

This incredible learning opportunity began on September 25th, 2025 and will continue its orbit through May 21st, 2026! All virtual sessions will be held from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend any or all events—come when you can, and we look forward to seeing you!

Whether you are a Virginia educator, transition coordinator, paraprofessional, counselor, related service provider, or administrator, we hope you’ll join us as we work together to foster self-determination in every classroom in Virginia!
