The Region 1 Parent Resource Centers (PRCs) are collaborating with VCU’s Training & Technical Assistance Center (TTAC) and I’m Determined to host a panel about self-determination! Join us to hear from students and their family members about the importance of developing self-determination skills! Students will share the experiences that led to becoming stronger self-advocates and how those skills have impacted their special education journeys.

Participants will also discover resources to help them to begin their own journey to self-determination!

This event is open to youth, families and educators in Region 1, which includes the following school divisions:
Charles City County, Chesterfield County, Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie County, Goochland County, Hanover County, Henrico County, Hopewell, New Kent County, Petersburg, Powhatan County, Prince George County, Richmond, Surry County, Sussex County.

In-person hubs will be held in Henrico, Hanover, and Colonial Heights. These locations are open to any participants in any division. They will be open from 6:00-7:30pm. For more information please visit the registration link below.
